About Us
Biochem Scitech Co., Ltd. | BCST
BCST is a food safety distributor in Thailand, and the company exists because of something that has not changed here in decades.
Year after year, the same brands circulate through the same channels. Laboratories receive what is convenient to sell rather than what the method requires. And underneath sits an assumption nobody states aloud: that a smaller market deserves less rigorous representation.
We disagree, and the whole company is built on the disagreement.
What we actually cover
BCST works across the Thai food chain — first feed and animal health, then dairy, meat, poultry and seafood, and finally water, hygiene and finished product.
So that means residue and mycotoxin screening for exporters and feed mills. Pathogen detection and culture media for microbiology laboratories. Also milk quality and composition for dairy processors. Legionella and water safety for facilities teams. Wine and beverage chemistry for producers. Then sterilization monitoring, laboratory instruments and consumables for everyone else.
Our clients include food manufacturers, testing laboratories, water quality operations, research institutions and universities across Thailand.
A Thailand where a laboratory’s method is limited by its own judgment, never by what a distributor found convenient to bring in.
Supply Thailand’s food safety, water quality, dairy, animal health and research sectors with diagnostics that hold up under scrutiny — and stay involved long enough that they get used correctly.
We tell clients what a product does not do. We publish the limitations alongside the specifications. When documentation does not support a claim, we leave the gap open and go ask the manufacturer rather than filling it in.
That is a slower way to sell. It is also the only version of this business worth building.
How a brand gets into our catalog
One question decides it. Is this the right scientific answer to a documented problem in Thailand?
Not whether it sells easily. Nor whether it fills a gap in the catalog. A gap is not a reason, and convenience is not a reason.
That standard eliminates most candidates, which is the point. It also means we have declined agreements that would have added revenue, because the product would not have survived contact with a Thai laboratory’s requirements.
In food safety, the wrong product in the wrong laboratory produces the wrong result. Then the consequence travels well beyond the laboratory — into a shipment, a recall, a specification a customer relies on, and eventually a person who eats the food.
What we ask of manufacturers
Plenty of companies will import a product into Thailand. Far fewer will get it adopted, and the difference is where launches quietly fail.
Adoption means something specific here. The method has to work at a Thai processor’s real sample volume. It has to be validated on the matrices they run, not on something adjacent. Their export buyer has to accept the result without retesting it. And somebody local has to answer the phone when a result gets questioned on a Monday morning.
So we take on brands we can carry properly rather than brands we can merely list. Manufacturers evaluating Thailand as a market are welcome to contact us directly.
